FROM THE ADIPOSER:

I talk a lot about how this photo shoot changed my life in the ways of Lore* and I and being able to be authentically me.

What I don’t talk about is that I am only a few days sober in this picture...

That I hated my body and learning to call a truce with it was happening in this moment...

That honoring my bad assery in the midst of getting clean and honoring who I am was the best thing I could have ever asked for.

That since this photo shoot I see my body in the most beautiful way. It is soft and squishy and wonderful. The truce is in full effect.

You don’t have to love your body. In fact I would argue that it is an impossible standard. But we can honor the struggles and all our body does for us. We can work on a mutual truce and be bad ass in as many moments as we can.
